Confirmation is an affirmation of baptism. In this confirmation program, students in will live into the baptismal promises parents and sponsors made on their behalf: 

1. To live among God’s faithful people

2. To hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s Supper

3. To proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed

4. To serve all people, following the example of Jesus

5. To strive for justice and peace in all the earth

Together with the youth and leaders from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glen Rock, The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Ramsey, NJ and Zion Lutheran Church in Saddle River, NJ, youth are invited to dig deeper in their faith, explore the Ten Commandments, the Apostle's Creed, the Lord's Prayer, Lutheran theology, important biblical stories, and living as Lutherans today. We explore our faith together through bi-weekly classes, field trips, service projects, justice projects and retreats. Confirmation begins in 8th grade and students become confirmed at the end of 9th grade.
