What if I’m not Lutheran/haven’t been to church in a while/not sure where I stand on faith?

That’s OK! You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come. We are figuring out together how to follow Jesus in ways that are authentic to each of us. Some members of Calvary care for elderly parents, others are available to youth as mentors, but all of us are walking with Him together. We can’t do this faith thing alone. Come and walk with us. What is worship like?

Our Sunday morning worship is joyful and relaxed. You will see single folk worshiping together alongside three generations of families. We hope you see that you are welcome here. Please visit our worship page to learn more about worship at Calvary.

 

Are Children Welcome in Worship?

Yes absolutely! We believe that God created children with their wiggles and giggles and all! We encourage families to worship, sing, and follow the readings together. Children learn best through participating. If anyone needs a break from worship, feel free to step out into the hall or spend a little time in the playroom.

 

How do I find you?

We are located in Northern New Jersey, 30 miles from New York City, nestled in the Borough of Allendale at 165 W. Crescent Ave. Many locals know us as the church across from Savini (Restaurant). Click here for a map.

 

Is Calvary wheelchair accessible?

Yes! We are fully accessible to wheelchairs through our front door near the offices and throughout the entire building.

What if my community group is looking for a place to meet?

Calvary is home to community groups, like Clan Na Vale Bagpipers and Boy Scouts.  Don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you are interested in meeting at Calvary, or if you are a non-profit group, interested in renting out space.​
