Smile Kits and GTWater Filtration Systems

Fluoride toothpaste (5oz.) and individually wrapped toothbrushes are needed year-round for Smile Kits that are sent to Haiti and Honduras. A receptacle for the toothpaste and toothbrushes is always in the narthex. Carl Glaeser flies to Haiti or Honduras multiple times a year to personally deliver Smile Kits, first aid packets, and GTWater filtration systems. See some more information here or visit www.gtwaterproject.com.

Knitting For SIH Christmas-at-Sea Program

Store-bought knitted hats are fine but the handcrafted, super warm hats made with love are the best. The seafarers we support with
the SIH Christmas-at-Sea program feel the individual connection and that means so much. We have a nice selection of yarn (you are welcome to use your own, of course washable, please) and we have instructions if needed. We will need 25-28 hats by the end of November. Why wait? Get those needles a clickin’ and warm a few hearts.

Canned Goods for The Center For Food Action (CFA)

Our canned goods collection will continue through the end of February. Many grocery stores have sales during this time so please consider picking up an extra can or two when you shop. Hearty soups, veggies, and fruits are staples at the Center for Food Action (CFA) and supplies are low. In March, we will be requesting peanut butter and jelly (plastic jars, please) and cereal and toothpaste. Of course, any item(s) you donate are appreciated. Gift cards
are always welcome, too. Thank you so much.

Positive tails

Our Sunday School Kids have been raising funds for Positive Tails, a nonprofit organization that helps provide funding for emergency lifesaving veterinary care for those families who can't afford treatment, or for animals who are abandoned or abused.

A square in The BONE is filled with a sticker when contributions are made. Let's show our love for God's creatures & support our Sunday School's efforts! Look for the special collection jars in the Narthex.
